Mythimna pudorina ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

La Noctuelle pudorine

Wingspan: 36-43mm

Imago: univoltine - June-August. An scarce species that is seldom taken at light but has been recorded from the Las Descargues garden traps most years.

Larva: feeds on wetland grass species Phragmites spp., Luzula pilosa, Carex pulicaris, Dactylis glomerata etc. Overwinters as an early instar larva, pupation takes place in leaf litter.
