Korscheltellus lupulinus (Linnaeus, 1758)

Common Swift
La Louvette

Wingspan: 25-40mm

A univoltine species flying from May to early-July when it comes often to light and has been recorded from all sites. A species of unmanaged grassland and moorland where the larvae feed on the roots of grasses and various herbaceous plants. Pupation takes place in tunnels amongst the root system of the foodplant.
