Wingspan: 18-22mm

Imago: plurivoltine - April-October. A frequent visitor to light it has been recorded from woodland, orchards, gardens.

Larva: polyphagous on various trees and shrubs including fruit trees. Larva feed through the summer hibernate through the winter before completing growth the following spring.
