Archips crataeganus (Hübner, 1799)

Brown Oak Tortrix

Wingspan: 20-24mm

Imago: univoltine - June-August. An occasional visitor to light it has been recorded from woodland habitats and is particularly numerous in the pure stands of birch of Las Descargues.

Larva: feeds in a tightly-rolled leaf on Betula, Quercus, Fraxinus, Ulmus and various other trees and shrubs including fruit trees.
