Archips xylosteana (Linnaeus, 1758)

Variegated Golden Tortrix

Wingspan: 14-20mm

A univoltine species on the wing from June to September. It is easily disturbed during the day, flies at dusk and is an occasional visitor to light it has been recorded mostly from woodland habitats and the Las Descargues garden traps.

Larva: feeds on Betula, Crataegus, Acer etc.
