Aplota palpella (Haworth, 1828)

Wingspan: 12-14mm

A univoltine species flying from early July to late August with two records from the first week of September. It is a rare visitor to light but has been recorded from traps placed along woodland margins of the ridge Las Descargues.

Larvae have been recorded from the trunks of ancient trees in open woodland and parks. Pupation takes place in the crevices of the bark of the foodplant.
