Meganola strigula ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Small Black Arches
La Nole striolé

Wingspan: 18-24mm

Imago: bivoltine - April-June ; July-August. A species of mature oak woodland and any other site where old oaks are present. Attracted to light and sugar it is frequent visitor to the Las Descargues garden traps.

Larva: feeds on Quercus, Fagus and Tilia spp., overwinters as an early instar larva before pupating on the foodplant.
