Compsoptera opacaria (Hübner, 1819)

La Fidonie pointue

Wingspan: 30-38mm

Imago: univoltine - October. A species with a very restricted emergence period, it is attracted to light but is generally a scarce moth with fewer than ten in any one year. It has been recorded at Las Descargues in the patches of heathland along the ridge.

Larva: feeds on Genista scoparia, Erica, Ulex etc.
