Egira conspicillaris (Linnaeus, 1758)

Wingspan: 36-42mm

A univoltine species flying from February to June. A frequent visitor to light it is recorded from rough pasture, unmanaged grassland, open, broadleaved woodland and gardens.

The larva is polyphagous on various herbaceous plants, woody perennials, trees and shrubs before overwintering as a pupa.
