Aplocera efformata (Guenée, 1857)

Lesser Treble-bar
La Petite rayur

Wingspan: 34-41mm

A bivoltine species flying from April to June and again in August and September. It is a frequent visitor to light and has been recorded from all Las Descargues traps and from almost all other habitats in the area.

The larva feeds on Hypericum perforatum an abundant plant throughout the area. Overwinters in the larval state with pupation taking place underground.
