Caloptilia robustella Jäckh, 1972

Wingspan: 10-13mm

Imago: A bivoltine species flying from mid-April to May and again in August and early September. The first generation appears almost a month before C. alchimiella. It is an occasional visitor to light and has been recorded from the Las Descargues garden traps and those situated in or adjacent to woodland.

Larva: Feeds on Quercus. Can be confused with C. alchimiella.
