Asthena albulata (Hufnagel, 1767)

Small White Wave
La Phalène candide

Wingspan: 20-25mm

Imago: A bivoltine species flying in May and June and again in July to early September. It is a frequent visitor to light and has been recorded from all woodland sites.

Larva: Feeds on Corylus, Cornus, Betula, Quercus and Carpinus spp., before overwintering as a pupa within plant detritus.
