Parornix devoniella (Stainton, 1850)

Wingspan: 9-10mm

A bivoltine species flying in May and June and again in August and early September. It is an occasional visitor to light and has been recorded from all Las Descargues garden traps and those situated in the ridge woodlands.

Larvae feed in mines on hazel Corylus avellana between July and September with pupation taking place in a folded leaf, an abundant species in this area.
