Noctua fimbriata (Schreber, 1759)

Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing
La Frangée

Wingspan: 45-56mm

Imago: Univoltine, flying from June to October when it is a frequent visitor to light and has been recorded from all woodland and woodland heath sites. It has been taken at Las Descargues throughout the summer and on occasion can be abundant.

Larva: Polyphagous on herbaceous plants, overwinters as a small larva before completing the feeding process and pupating underground in the early spring.
