Pechipogo strigilata (Linnaeus, 1758)

Common Fan-foot
L'Ermite barbu

Wingspan: 32-34mm

A univoltine species on the wing from May to July when it is a frequent visitor to light and has been recorded from all the Las Descargues traps and those situated in the long established broadleaved woodlands in the area.

The larva feeds on Quercus particularly on withered leaves. Overwinters as a larva in the final stages of development and pupates in spring amongst detritus from the foodplant or possibly in the bark.
