Mesoligia furuncula ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Cloaked Minor
La Furoncule

Wingspan: 22-28mm

Imago: Univoltine, flying July to September when it is a common visitor to light and sugar and can be taken at dusk flying low over the ground. Recorded from the Las Descargues traps and calcareous grassland habitats in the area.

Larva: Feeds on grasses overwintering as a larva feeding inside the stems of the foodplant where it pupates in spring.
