Apamea scolopacina (Esper, 1788)

Slender Brindle
La Scolopacine

Wingspan: 32-36mm

Imago: Univoltine, flying June to August when it is a common visitor to light and sugar. It has been recorded frequently from the Las Descargues traps and those situated in the ridge meadows and open woodland of the gorge and ridge.

Larva: Feeds on woodland grasses, overwinters as a larva before pupating in spring below ground.
