Idaea seriata (Schrank, 1802)

Small Dusty Wave

Wingspan: 20-25mm

A plurivoltne species flying from March to October. A common species and frequent visitor to light, it has been recorded at Las Descargues and various sites close to human habitation.

The larva feeds on various herbaceous plants and even trees, Malus, Loncera, Urtica, Plantago etc. Overwinters as a larva before pupating in a cocoon in plant detritus on the surface of the ground.
