Wingspan: 28-35mm

Imago: Univoltine, May to July. A species of broadleaved woodland and a frequent visitor to light. It has been recorded from Las Descargues and from traps in various woodlands and meadows.

Larva: Feeds on Lonicera xylosteum, Galium, Alnus glutinosa, Taraxacum, Populus, Salix etc. Overwinters as a larva before pupation takes place in the ground.
