Dysstroma truncata (Hufnagel, 1767)

Common Marbled Carpet
La Cidarie roussātre

Wingspan: 30-42mm

A bivoltine species flying from May to June and August and September. A highly variable species attracted to light and a common visitor to the Las Descargues traps. Recorded in a range of habitats from woodland to gardens.

Larvae are polyphagous on various trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants, they overwinters as larvae with pupation taking place in spring among the foliage of the foodplant.
