Scotopteryx luridata (Hufnagel, 1767)

Wingspan: 32-42mm

Imago: Bivoltine, May-July and August-September. A crepuscular species that is a frequent visitor to,light and has been recorded from all the Las Descargues traps and those situated in open woods, scrub, heath and rough meadows.

Larva: Feeds on Genista and Sarothamnus scoparius, overwinters as a larva before pupating in plant detritus.
