Celypha cespitana (Hübner, 1817)

Wingspan: 12-16mm

Imago: Univoltine although can rarely produce a second generation, flying May to August (September). Recorded from Las Descargues and the woodland margins of the ridge where patches of heathland exist.

Larva: Feeds on Calluna, Thymus, Trifolium, Fragaria, Rosa etc. Larva hibernate overwinter before completing feeding and pupating in early spring.
