Wingspan: 28-34mm

Imago: Bivoltine, May to July and again from August to September. It is a frequent visitor to light and has been recorded from all the Las Descargues traps and those in broadleaved woodland and scrub.

Larva: A polyphagous species feeding Clematis, Lonicera, Crataegus, Erica, Galium, Rubus etc. Overwinters as a larva with pupation taking place in the early spring.
