Eucosma conterminana (Guenée, 1845)

Wingspan: 15-19mm

Imago: Univoltine, July and August when it is a frequent visitor to light and has been recorded from the Las Descargues traps and those in and around the ridge meadows.

Larva: Feeds in the flower heads of Lactuca spp. Overwinters as a fully grown larva in a cocoon underground but in spring builds a fresh, much stronger cocoon and pupates without further feeding on the surface of the soil.
