Argyresthia spinosella Stainton, 1849

Wingspan: 9-11mm

A univoltine species on the wing from May to the end of July when it is an occasional visitor to light but can also be beaten from Prunus spinosa. It has been recorded at Las Descargues and all sites where its foodplant is present.

Larvae feed on the flower shoots of Prunus spinosa it then pupates in a thin cocoon on the ground in mid- to late-March.
