Wingspan: 20-24mm

A univoltine species with a partial second generation, April to July and August/September. It is a frequent visitor to light and has been recorded from all the Las Descargues traps and those situated in or near rough calcareous grasslands.

The larva feeds on Linaria vulgaris before overwintering as a pupa below soil level or on the ground.
