Tinea trinotella Thunberg, 1794

Wingspan: 11-18mm

A generally common bivoltine species flying from May to September when it comes readily to light and has been recorded from all sampling sites.

Larvae feed in bird's nest and woollen material. Pupation takes in a rough cocoon within the confines of the bird's nest.
