Tortrix viridana (Linnaeus, 1758)

Wingspan: 16-24mm

A univoltine species flying in June and July when it is a frequent visitor to light and has been recorded from all woodland sites. It is most commonly found on the Causse and although present at higher altitudes is not taken as often.

Larvae feed on various oak species, Quercus robur, Q. petraea and Q. pubescens.
