Scopula marginepunctata (Goeze, 1781)

Wingspan: 26-35mm

A bivoltine species flying from May to September in two overlapping generations. It has been recorded from the Las Descargues traps and those situated in the rocky, calcareous meadows of the plateau and the Causse.

Larva is polyphagous on herbaceous plants Polygonum, Thyme, Origanum, Dianthus etc. Overwinters as a larva with pupation taking place in loose soil in early spring.
