Idaea trigeminata (Haworth, 1809)

Wingspan: 23-26mm

A trivoltine species this far south flying from March to September. It is a frequent visitor to light and has been recorded from all the Las Descargues traps and those along the woodland margins of the plateau.

The larva feeds on Acer campestre, Betula, Hedera helix etc., overwinters in the larval state before pupating in early spring just beneath the soil.
