Acleris cristana ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Wingspan: 18-24mm

A polymorphic species with a theoretical single generation each year flying in June and July when it is attracted to light, however, adults have been recorded here in almost all months of the year. Over ten forms have been recorded at Las Descargues but it is recorded at all other sites too.

Larvae feed on Carpinus betulus, Ulmus campestris, Rosa, Crataegus, Malus, Sorbus sambucifolia and Salix caprea.
