Acleris variegana ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Wingspan: 13-23mm

A univoltine species with the first imagines appearing in July and August but then recorded through to the following April. It is a frequent visitor to light and has been recorded from all sites.

Larvae feed on Crataegus, Prunus spinosa, Amygdalus, Pyrus communis, Rosa, Potentilla fruticosa, Corylus, Ulmus and Vaccinum myrtillus.
