Pandemis cerasana (Hübner, 1786)

Barred Fruit-tree Tortrix

Wingspan: 16-25mm

A bivoltine species flying in June to July and again in August and September. The dark suffused form appears to be the most common variant here at Las Descargues and has been taken at all the garden traps and from those in or adjacent to broadleaved and coniferous woodland. Flies at dusk and is also attracted to light.

The larva feeds on various deciduous trees and shrubs.
