Spilonota ocellana ([Denis & Schiffermuller], 1775)

Wingspan: 12-17mm

Up to three generations each year with adults flying from May to September. It is attracted to light and has been recorded from mv traps at Las Descargues. A serious pest of orchards.

The larva feeds on various fruit trees with hibernation taking place between leaves in tubes made of excrement.
