Idaea humiliata (Hufnagel, 1767)

Wingspan: 20-24mm

A univoltine and quite variable species flying from May to August. It is attracted to light, has been recorded at Las Descargues and from various traps on the limestone pavement of the Causse. A species of calcareous grassland.

The larva feeds on Hippocrepis comosa, Thymus etc. overwinters as a partially grown larva with pupation taking place in early spring on the ground.
