Aporia crataegi (Linnaeus, 1758)

Black-veined White

Wingspan: 58-64mm

A univoltine species flying from the end of April to the end of July. It is occasionally encountered in the broadleaved woodlands of the Fournanty Plateau around Las Decargues but is more common on the meadows of the Causse and lowland river valley habitats.

The larva feeds on various Prunus, Pyrus, Malus, Crataegus species.
