Idaea biselata (Hufnagel, 1767)

Small Fan-footed Wave

Wingspan: 22-25mm

A bivoltine species in the south of the region flying from early June to the end of August. It is an occasional visitor to light and has been recorded from all the Las Descargues traps and those in or adjacent to the broadleaved woodlands of the plateau.

The larva feeds on Alnus, Tilia, Corylus etc. It overwinters as a larva before pupating in early spring amongst leaf litter.
