Udea prunalis ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Wingspan: 23-26mm

A bivoltine species flying from May to October when it is attracted to light. Recorded infrequently from the mv lights at Las Descargues but is yet to be taken elsewhere in the area. A species of blackthorn scrub.

The larva feeds on Lamium, Mercurialis perennis, Urtica dioica, Lonicera peryclymenum, Rubus, Sambucus, Ulmus, and Prunus spinosa it pupates in a cocoon on leaves of the foodplant.
