Epinotia tenerana ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Wingspan: 12-16mm

A bivoltine species on the wing in June and July and again in August and September. It is an occasional visitor to light and has been recorded from the Las Descargues mv lights and from traps in or adjacent to the birch woods of the plateau.

The larvae feed on Betula, Corylus, Alnus spp. with pupation taking place in a cocoon amongst plant detritus.
