Epinotia nisella (Clerck, 1759)

Wingspan: 12-17mm

A bivoltine species flying in May and again from July to September. It is a frequent visitor to light at Las Descargues and has been recorded from the ridge woodland where the foodplant is found and from the poplar plantations at Ladirat.

The larva feeds on Salix, Populus tremula.
