Atethmia centrago (Haworth, 1809)

Centre-barred Sallow

Wingspan: 32-38mm

A univoltine species flying from late July to October when it is attracted to light and has been recorded from the las Descargues traps and those in, or adjacent to woodland. A species of various habitats wherever the foodplants are found.

The larva feeds on Acer, Ulmus, Fraxinus etc. The species overwinters as an egg, feeding in early spring and pupates underground in a cocoon.
