Eudonia mercurella (Linnaeus, 1785)

Wingspan: 16-19mm

A single brooded species flying from late June to early October. It is attracted to light and can be common. Recorded from the mv lights at Las Descargues, the plateau woodlands and from the stone walls of the Causse.

The larva feeds on moss growing on trees and rocks before pupating in late spring amongst moss.
