Eugnorisma glareosa (Esper, 1788)

Autumnal Rustic
La Noctuelle L double

Wingspan: 32-35mm

A univoltine species flying from August to November when it is attracted to light and has been recorded from all dry grassland sites. A species of moorland, heathland and unmanaged meadows preferring those habitats to be on limestone or light sandy soils.

Larvae feed on various low growing herbaceous plants overwintering as small larvae with pupation taking place in a light and fragile cocoons underground.
