Mesoligia literosa (Haworth, 1809)

Rosy Minor

Wingspan: 22-28mm

A univoltine species flying in July and August. A scarce visitor to the Las Descargues mv lights but more commonly recorded from the calcareous meadows of the plateau and Causse.

The larva feeds on the roots then stems of Ammophila, Elymus, Dactylus, Festuca etc. Overwinters as a larva with pupation taking place in early spring.
